Darryl “DJ” Harding Jr is a senior at Claremont Academy, where he is the class president and captain of the school basketball team. DJ plans to attend Howard University in the fall to pursue media & film with a concentration in journalism. His dream job is to be a sportscaster for one of his favorite sports (basketball, football, or baseball) to follow in the footsteps of his idol, Stewart Scott.
DJ has been a member of the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester for 11 years. Over the years, he has participated in as many programs as he could. Some of his favorites were Job Ready, the recording studio, and most recently, Drivers Ed. DJ was our permanent host for a few years, MCing all the talent shows and other events. He came on as junior staff in the summer of 2021 and when school started, he joined the team in our licensed School Aged Child Care program. He also runs the clock and stats (and DJs!) at the Unity League basketball games!
“I have spent so many of my youth years at the Club and have tried and experienced so much, I would have to write a whole book to talk about my experience!” - Darryl “DJ” Harding Jr
