The purpose of the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester School Aged Child Care program is to provide excellent child care after school 1:45p.m.-6:00p.m. and full day programs 7:30a.m.-6:00p.m. during school vacations. Children k-13 years old (up to 16 years old) are cared for in a safe, enjoyable, and supportive environment. The Child Care program emphasizes the social, emotional, physical, (fine and gross motor skills) and cognitive growth of the children while also focusing on their individual talents and needs. The Child Care program has been established to support and strengthen the child’s family and the community in which they live. The Child Care staff is dedicated to developing the spirit, mind, and body of youth through innovative and structured programming and learning projects.
The School Aged Child Care program is an educationally structured program within a full-functioning Boys & Girls Club environment. Members age 9 to 13 of the child care program are welcome to participate in Club activities daily between 3:10p.m. to 4:45p.m. The children are also eligible for educational and sports teams throughout the Club with parental permission.
A special effort is made to develop a program that is tailored to meet the needs of your child as an individual. The School Aged Child Care program provides a variety of positive, healthy and interesting activities that instill a sense of belonging, usefulness, influence, and competency.

Licensing Agency
The School Aged Program is licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care and is mandated to uphold all of the rules and regulations set forth by that agency school age child care licensing. The School Aged Program is licensed to care for 71 children at a child/staff ratio of 1 staff for every 13 children.
