This mural project is a partnership between Main IDEA Youth & Arts and the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester. Youth ages 11-18 submitted design entries for the mural with the prompt, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” (Martin Luther King Jr.). Two youth artists’ designs were chosen, Niyah & Sarai, and youth arts teams consisting of both Main IDEA youth and Boys & Girls Club members worked to co-paint the design, along with the lead & assistant artists, Jennessa Burks and Eamon Gillen. This program is supported by a grant from the Greater Worcester Community Foundation and by the Worcester Arts Council/ Mass Cultural Council.
