We believe that the best way to serve our youth is to listen to them. That’s why, when we began planning our brand-new 35,000-square-foot facility in Great Brook Valley, we turned to the most important voices in the room—our young members.
To kick off the process, our staff asked youth to draw their dream clubhouse. The results were nothing short of inspiring. Their imaginations ran wild, filling their sketches with donut-shaped swimming pools, slides cascading off the side of the building, dance rooms alive with movement, and cozy libraries brimming with books. Each drawing reflected not only creativity but also a deep understanding of what a clubhouse should be—a place of joy, learning, and belonging.
This exercise was more than just an artistic activity; it was the first step in ensuring that our new clubhouse is youth-guided from the very beginning. Their ideas, big and small, will help shape the spaces where they will grow, connect, and thrive.
As we move forward with construction, we are committed to keeping youth voices at the center of the design and planning process. This new facility isn’t just about providing a space—it’s about creating a home where every young person feels heard, valued, and inspired to dream even bigger.
