Richard was raised in Worcester and attended the Ionic Ave Clubhouse with his brother, Thomas. It was during these formative years that he and his brother formed an extremely close bond, which lasted for the rest of their lives.
After graduating from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Richard went on to receive his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.
He achieved much success in his professional life including his position as First Lieutenant in the US Army Reserves, followed by Bell Labs, RCA and Polaroid, where he stayed for 26 years and held several patents.
In addition to his professional success, Richard was also a very skilled ballroom dancer/instructor as well as a Sifu Master in Tai Chi and a member of the Free Masons for 14 years.
Richard married his wife, Jennie, and together had four children and 10 grandchildren. Richard passed away in 2018, but left behind a lifetime of memories filled with friends and family.
