"This week's Women's History Month member spotlight is Liz Hamilton, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Worcester. Liz has been with the Club for 19 years, is the first female Executive Director in the Club’s history, and is so loved by her peers, that her own team reached out to us with these kind words :
"Throughout her time as executive director, Liz has dedicated herself to increasing the number of youth the Club serves annually, investing in quality staff and programming that makes a difference, and has made critical improvements to the Club’s Harrington facility so members have a safe place to go. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, Liz and the Club stepped up for the community by becoming an emergency childcare facility for first responders and hospital staff, turning into a learning hub for kids to learn remotely while Worcester Public Schools was virtual, and opening the Club’s food pantry to the Worcester community—going from serving 200 families a year to serving 200 families a week. In addition, in the fall of 2021, Liz kicked off the first-ever endowment campaign in the Club’s 133-year history, Foundation for the Future, with the goal of raising $10 million in the first 5 years."
